The Pedra Pintada or Painted Rock (not to be confunded with Caverna da Pedra Pintada in Pará State), is a very big rock located in Roraima, Brazil, 85 meters long, 35 meters high and 30 meters wide, located in the Boa Vista savanna. There are many pictograms and other archaeological evidence in the walls of the rock. The rock is located inside the San Marcos indigenous area, where live Macuxi, Wapishana and Pemon indigenous people.〔(São Marcos ); ''Povos Indígenas no Brasil'' consultado el 17 de febrero de 2011.〕 == Archaeology == During a study that happened between 1985 and 1987 Brazilian archaeologist came to conclusion that the site has been inhabited since 2000 BC.〔Ribeiro, Pedro A.
